Lions Band Alumni Association Sixty years and still going strong! In 2006, the Regina Lions Band will mark its 60th year of making music an integral part of the fabric of life in Regina , in Saskatchewan , in Canada and around the world. We have provided an opportunity for countless numbers of young people to experience music at its very best. Many of our alumni have made music their career choice and the training they received from the Regina Lions Band was a significant factor in their success. More than 10,000 young people have been a part of the Regina Lions Band program and we would like to see 10,000 more in the years to come. Over the years we have celebrated many milestones and have reunited as a group to reminisce over the good times we had as members of the Regina Lions Band. As we approach our sixtieth anniversary, we see our campaign for moral and financial support as an important effort for both the alumni and the Regina Lions Band organization. In order to continue operating, w e need to form a fully operational alumni association. We need your help to make this happen and there are still lots of details to work out. We are suggesting that the annual alumni membership fee would be $25.00. For this fee, members would receive quarterly newsletters, as well notices of all Regina Lions Band events. The alumni will also support the Regina Lions Band in any way it can. If you would like to be on a committee to help create a fully operational Regina Lions Band Alumni Association, please email or call Rick DeMars. If you know the names of alumni who are not on our list or the name of someone who would like to help with this project, please let us know how we can contact them.
